Charlotte Tilbury Between The Sheets Lipstick

As a huge advocate of Charlotte Tilbury makeup, when I saw she had re-launched this oh-so-pretty shade from the 2016 valentines collection I knew I had to have it.

My most worn lipstick collection mostly consists of hues of pinks and dreamy nudes, making this the perfect addition to my makeup bag. This is a beautiful deep romantic pink shade, as this is from the matte revolution range it does have a slight matte appearance though the lipstick itself is hydrating on the lips.

As with all of the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, the formula is long lasting meaning you can apply this at the beginning of the day and not have to worry about consistently topping up.

This lipstick will make such a beautiful transitional shade as we head into Autumn (I can't wait for cosy jumper weather!) and I can see this quickly becoming one of my most worn lipsticks.

Do you own any Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks?

Summer Body Care Favourites

Despite being an Autumn gal through and through, there's something rather blissful about Summer - we've had a couple of weeks of glorious weather in the UK which for me means 2 things: far too much ice cream has been consumer and it's time to get those pale af ghostly legs out.

Amongst the ice cream and football, I've fallen back in love with body care - here are some of the pieces I've been loving:

Champneys Summer Dream Bubble Bath

Although the weather has been hot, I'm still loving having a Sunday  pamper bath! For me, a Lush bath bomb is more of an Autumn/Winter treat so I've been testing some alternatives to my usual Lush faves. This bubble bath from Champneys has a lovely fruity scent and leaves my skin feeling moisturised and soft - the perfect Summer bath time treat. Although this is a fruity scent, it isn't too uplifting so as well as making me smell divine this is also my go-to after a stressful day.

Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub

I wish I could eat this, it smells THAT good. Though this post is for my Summer body care faves, this is my all time favourite scrub.
It smells like maple syrup pancakes, removes dry skin like a pro and leaves a beautiful oily residue on the skin - if you haven't already tried this, you need to (if you fake tan regularly this will change your life)

Bondi Sands Everyday Gradual Tan Moisturiser

Initially I purchased this as an alternative to tanning and although it left a very subtle hint of a tan, I would recommend using this alongside your tan to prolong the glow. This has a beautiful scent, is easy to apply and would be the perfect addition to a Summer holiday suitcase.

Dove Shower Mousse, Argan Oil

I picked this up in Boots when it had first launched (and was on special offer!) and it has completely changed my shaving routine. This leaves my legs feeling super soft and moisturised - this is now my go-to shaving product.

Peppermint Foot Cream, The Body Shop

After a long day, this is one of my favourite products to apply. Though it may not be the most glamorous, this instantly cools feet and leaves them feeling silky soft. A summer must have!

The Righteous Butter, Soap & Glory

Another holy grail product of mine, this body butter is very hydrating though absorbs quickly (unlike the body butters from the body shop) this has a very Summery scent which lingers all day, I personally like this as I tend to wear light weight fragrances that layer beautifully with the scent.

What are your Summer body care favourites?

Daisy Love, The New Fragrance By Marc Jacobs

There's a new kid on the block for the Marc Jacobs fragrance family and i'm already so obsessed.

Available exclusively at World Duty Free until the 11th April, Daisy Love is the latest addition to the Daisy line of fragrances by Marc Jacobs and it is the perfect addition to a fragrance collection now that Spring has sprung.

I'm a huge fan of the original Daisy & Daisy Dream scents from Marc Jacobs so I had high hopes for this, it's a beautiful combination of both floral and sweet notes making it different to the original scents but the significant daisy note still remains.

This has much more of a 'grown up' feel to it, as much as I adore the original Daisy perfume it can sometimes remain me of my teenage years- this is both sweet, girly and sophisticated making it my new favourite Marc Jacobs scent.

As with all of the Marc Jacobs scent, the attention to detail with the packaging is almost breath taking - this consists of the signature daisy lid and some beautiful petal engravings on the bottle.

If you are popping to an airport before the 11th April I'd definitely recommend popping into World Duty Free to give this a spritz, it's a beautiful scent that is now a firm favourite of mine after only a few days!

What do you think of the newest scent from Marc Jacobs?

My Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection

Charlotte Tilbury is by far my favourite beauty brand, everything from the oh-so beautiful packaging to the quality of the products has me repurchasing and adoring everything the brand has to offer.

Before stumbling across Charlotte Tilbury on a Selfridges trip in Oxford Street I felt as though I hadn't found anything that wowed me in terms of makeup, I had never been into collecting products from a brand and I owned 2 'high end' lipsticks from  MAC... Since the first lipstick I tried from CT everything changed and I am now well and truly obsessed.

Kim KW, Hot Lips Collection

This really is the perfect pink/beige toned nude, I was a little sceptical at first as to how this would look once applied against my ghostly pale skin tone but it is beautiful. The application is easy and the tapered square end of this lipstick makes it even easier to get a flawless finish around the lips, the longevity of this is just as incredible as all other CT lipsticks I've used and this is a treasured lipstick amongst my collection.

Bitch Perfect, K.I.S.S.I.N.G Collection

The lipstick that started my obsession with CT and one I hold close to my heart, this is a stunning peach toned pink and the perfect shade for Spring.

Valentine, K.I.S.S.I.N.G Collection

Sadly this one is now sold out *sobs* but this is one I am lucky enough to have in my collection, it's a beautiful soft pink shade and as the name describes the perfect valentines/day night lipstick.

English Beauty, Matte Revolution

This one is limited edition so if you are hesitating whether or not to get it, do! This is another beautiful pink lipstick (they're all different, promise!) the matte finish to this makes it very wearable and this is one I have been reaching for a lot lately.

Pillow Talk, Matte Revolution

Perhaps the most spoken about CT lipstick shade ever?! Though the hype is very much deserved as this is one of my all time favourite lipsticks! This is a dreamy shade of pink, with a slight beige undertone which is SO flattering - I am obsessed.

Secret Salma, Hot Lips

This was the second CT lipstick I was lucky enough to get and one that Dan very kindly chose for me (he's a keeper!) This shade is so flattering on brunettes, whenever I wear this I receive compliments on how glowing my skin is looking and I think its down to this! Its the perfect dark toned pink lipstick.

Show Girl, Hollywood Lips

My first CT liquid lipstick is this beautiful dark pink shade 'Show Girl' - the formula of these means they're easy to apply but last for hours, I was so impressed when I first tried this! I can't wait to buy more to see how the formula changes by colour.

2017 Beauty Favourites

I feel like 2017 was definitely the year that I discovered exactly what I like in beauty/makeup products, I stopped wasting money on products that I 'may' wear or like and instead invested in some high end pieces that I treasure and adore.

First up is a brand that I've loved all throughout 2017 and that is Charlotte Tilbury, everything from the luxe packaging to the way the products apply and feel and the longevity of them has had me investing in lots of new beautiful makeup pieces from them in 2017.

In my 2017 faves we have 4 Charlotte Tilbury products, I will be doing a 'brand focus' post soon where I will be showcasing my collection and giving an in depth review of each item so I won't dabble on too much in this post.

First we have the oh-so-beautiful Instant Eye Palette, each shade of this is highly pigments and very wearable and so for this reason it is 100% worth the investment. Next we have her lip products, I have adored both the traditional lipsticks and liquid lipsticks that were released i 2017 - each a beautiful shade and each as long wearing on the lips. And last but certainly not least the magic foundation, after being a drugstore foundation gal for years I took the plunge in 2017 and tried the magic foundation and it is incredible! my skin has never looked so radiant, glowing & flawless.

Next up in makeup we have the NARS creamy concealer, another high end purchase for 2017 and one i'll continue to repurchase as we head into 2018 as this is incredible. This is something thats been on my radar for years, ever since I stumbled across an early Tanya Burr video on YT and so this is something I've wanted for a very long time. This instantly lifts up the under eye area and adds a subtle glow to even the dullest of skin days, it is definitely worth the hype.

We also have the Urban Decay troublemaker mascara, this has had a range of mixed reviews since its launch but I love it. The brush captures all of my lashes (top and bottom) and it really does last all day, in all situations. Very handy when you live in the UK and a thunderstorm is always just around the corner!

And lastly for makeup bits and pieces is the Tanya Burr cosmetics bronzer/blusher palette, having being a TB subscriber for years I had high hopes for this and it didn't disappoint. The formula/shades are very similar to NARS compacts and for a fraction of the price - I would highly recommend these palettes.

Skincare is something I really invested into in 2017, having now found products that work for my skin and a 'routine' that I'm happy with.

In 2017 I became a brand ambassador for Magnitone which was very exciting as I'm a huge fan of their products! So naturally my first favourite is their Rose Gold Barefaced cleansing brush - how beautiful does this look? this has completely transformed the texture of my skin in 2017, smoothing out any bumps and help minimise the appearance of scarring from previous breakouts - if you haven't already tried a cleansing brush I'd highly recommend this one.

Next we have the Clinique take the day off balm, I am very late to this party! Using this and my Magnitone barefaced daily has helped to transform my skin, this is also amazing for removing eye makeup without irritating the eyes.

In terms of masks I have been loving the Antipodes Aura honey mask, so much so that I use this as much as I can! It's gentle, hydrating and soothing for the skin and the perfect addition to a pamper evening.

For moisturisers I've been using the Clinique Moisture Surge gel, before using this my skin was ridiculously dry and I dread to think how much money I wasted on products that did not work at all for me. After a busy weekend in London, I picked this up in duty free to try and I've been obsessed since. It's lightweight but super hydrating so I've been using this as my night cream.

I used to be terrible at remembering eye cream but due to spending copious amounts of time at a computer each day i've came to learn its importance. My fave eye cream in 2017 was without a doubt the Kiehls avocado eye cream, it really does live up to the hype! It's hydrating, soothing and a dream to apply.

2017 was a year of embracing self care and making sure I take time out of each week to enjoy a pamper session, and so Lush bath bombs are my first favourite. There's something very satisfying about sitting in a colourful bath of glitter and pretty scents!

For Christmas, Dan very kindly gave me the Laura Mercier creme brûlée honey bath - something that has been on my wishlist since I can remember! This is the most luxurious and gorgeous bath product I've ever tried and I shall cherish this throughout 2018!

In December I tried the Snow Fairy body conditioner from Lush for the first time and it was dreamy! Gals, this leaves your legs SO smooth after shaving. When this is empty, I think i'll try Ro's Argan to see how it compares.

And for body moisturisers I've loved The Righteous Butter from S&G - there's something about the pretty, girly scent that I absolutely love and its super hydrating which is a bonus.

Lastly, for perfumes I've loved Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream - this is a sentimental fragrance for me and one I tend to wear for special occasions so I love it.

In 2017 I took some time out of blogging to move house and throughout that time I started reading blogs a lot more, here are my favourite beauty bloggers from 2017:

  • Love, Catherine {http://www.lovecatherine.co.uk}
  • Gemma Louise {http://www.gemmalouise.co.uk}
  • Pint Sized Beauty {http://www.pintsizedbeauty.com}
  • Sophie's Makeup {http://www.sophiesmakeup.com}
