2016 Beauty Favourites

I feel like 2016 was the year that I really branched out and tried lots of new beauty products, I tried lots of new drugstore and high end products and in 2016 my beauty collection really started to grow. 

Here are a few of the bits that I loved throughout the majority of 2016 and will continue to love as we venture into 2017, here are my 2016 beauty favourites...

T O O F A C E D C H O C O L A T E B A R P A L E T T E 

Before 2016 I had never tried any Too Faced products *open mouth emoji* and now this palette has became my all time favourite! My lovely boyfriend Dan kindly brought me this back in the Summer and since then this has been my go-to palette everyday. For starters the eyeshadows smell like chocolate AHH and have the most amazing cream texture that makes them super easy to blend and they go on like a dream- what more does a girl want. Incase you can't already tell by the huge crater like dent that lies within it, Marzipan is my favourite of all of the shadows. 

Y S L T O U C H E E C L A T F O U N D A T I O N

Touche éclat foundation where have you been all my life? This has a gorgeous lightweight silky finish and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and looking flawless. As this was an expensive purchase I tend to use it for special occasions only or when I want my skin to look radiant and perfected all day long, this is my favourite base product to use and I may have to bite the bullet and repurchase this one when it runs out (soz bank balance.)

S & G T H E R I G H T E O U S B U T T E R 

I loooooove Soap & Glory products, so much so that I currently have a huge stash of their lovely body products waiting to be used up. I love the packaging, the girly yet not sickly scent and the way the products leave my skin feeling and I've got into the habit of moisturising everyday now that the weather is colder and this has been my saviour- would highly recommend the Righteous Butter to anyone who is suffering the pain that is dry skin this Winter.

E L I Z A B E T H A R D E N 8 H O U R C R E A M

I am seriously late to the party when it comes to the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, I had always read lots about it, seen it all over YouTube yet never had the urge to purchase it myself. However, in November my lips became really dry and cracked and whilst out shopping with Dan I decided to give this a go as my lips had became really sore and looked horrible. OH MY GOODNESS this product works wonders! this is something I will always have in my stash now as within a couple of hours my lips went back to looking and feeling normal! A life saver and holy grail product for the colder months.

U R B A N D E C A Y N A K E D S K I N C O N C E A L E R

Before trying this product I never realised how different concealers could be. Being a drugstore girl i'd tried the likes of Maybelline and Rimmel and thought that they all pretty much did the same thing, that was until I discovered this beauty.. This concealer is INCREDIBLE and completely changes how I/ my under eye bags look, I love it so much I have already used up two tubes and have a backup waiting just incase I run out again. It's super creamy yet easy to blend and doesn't cake under the eyes, when used with a setting powder it also stays in place all day.. an under eye hero product! 

B E N E F I T R O L L E R L A S H

I love how this mascara adds volume yet doesn't clump up the lashes, it curls the lashes on application and so I don't feel the need to use eyelash curlers when using this mascara- unlike others I have tried in the past. I can't see this leaving my makeup bag anytime soon, my go-to mascara and one that leaves my lashes looking super long and thick.

C H A R L O T T E T I L B U R Y S E C R E T S A L M A

Will I ever stop talking about my love for this lipstick? probably not. I've spoken about this a few times on here already and so won't babble on but Dan chose this lipstick for me so it has a real sentimental value and in 2016 I wore this loads. The Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are incredible and I have to refrain myself from buying more ahhhh. 

S & G S U P E R C A T L I N E R

I wear liquid eyeliner pretty much everyday now and it takes me less than a minute thanks to this product, I find that because I hold this eyeliner like a pen it's super easy for my hand to trace out the perfect line on my eyelid. The formula is long lasting and super dark so I don't need to worry about it fading on my lids throughout the day, I love this product and it's a total dream for someone who is hopeless at eyeliner. 

M A R C J A C O B S D A I S Y D R E A M

My mum very kindly brought me this perfume as a present in 2015 and I had been waiting for a 'special occasion' to use it on as it's an expensive one. I wore this for Dan and I's first date and so now it holds a real sentimental value in my heart, I wore it all throughout 2016 to the point where it had run out! and so Dan very kindly brought me it again for Christmas this year (he's the best) this scent will always remind me of Dan and all of our adventures that we have had, if we get married one day which I hope so then this will be the perfume I wear on our wedding day. 

TBS A M A Z O N I A N A C A I F A C E M A S K

This has been such a saviour for when my skin has needed a pick me up or is feeling a little worse for wear. It's super hydrating and doesn't dry like a typical face mask so you can use it multiple times in a week if needed. This also smells AMAZING and is packed full of vitamins that my skin loves.

L U S H S N O W F A I R Y 

I am so gutted that I didn't manage to pick any of this up in the sale as it's such a lovely shower gel to use and smells like Christmas to me! Luckily we picked up the 1kg version back in October so still have some to use up but Lush need to make this a core product as it's my favourite shower gel and only comes out once a year *sobs*
