Up until this year I had always been a one step cleanse kinda person.. Afterall, its quick, easy and convenient to do.
However, since switching and choosing to double cleanse I have noticed a HUGE difference in the overall appearance and texture of my skin and it’s definitely made my initial skincare routine more effective just by adding in an extra step.

For my first cleanse I use the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil from The Body Shop, Camomile is the perfect ingredient as it’s soothing and calming and so wont irritate the skin. It’s also suitable for contact lens wearers and so is super convenient to use on the eye area and take off all of my makeup (even stubborn gel liner!) without using pesky cotton pads. I dampen my face first with warm water and then rub this oil all over to remove, followed by removal with warm water again.

For my deep cleanse I use Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish, I’m sure you are all sick to death of hearing about this skincare product as it’s been a bloggers favourite for absolute years but this removes any traces of surface dirt that the previous cleanser may have missed and leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished- I think this is due to the combination of ingredients, cocoa butter being one that is present within the cleanser. I apply this onto dry skin and then add warm water when removing.
& that’s it! my super easy yet effective cleanse routine..
what products do you cleanse with?

Dayna

ReplyDeleteI love the Body Shop oil cleanser too! Its a great alternative to the Shu Uemura cleansing oil which costs an arm and a leg! I'm currently using the Missha foaming facial cleanser as my second cleansing step - Korean skincare brands always seem to get it right!

ooh, i'll have to check some Korean brands out x
DeleteI usually remove my makeup with micellar water before using a cleansing gel, but I'm quite lazy most days and only use micellar water as it does an amazing job on it's own! The Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish sounds amazing too.

I agree, and it's super easy to use x
DeleteDoes the oil not make your face a bit greasy? I usually use miceller water to take my makeup off, I hate scrubbing makeup off my face. I'll definitely look into the oil though! Love Liz Earle cleanse and polish though.
